J’onn J’onzz was a “Manhunter” on the planet Mars, capturing criminals and bringing them to justice before they caused any real harm. After the death of most Martians at the hand of a psionic curse, J’onn was miraculously transported to the planet Earth and began a new life as the heroic Martian Manhunter, continuing his duties as a Manhunter by capturing criminals and defeating supervillains. J’onn is equipped with not only telepathy, but also the ability to shapeshift, super strength, flight, and a host of other powers that make him a remarkable hero indeed!
